Day1. Arrival – Luang Prabang

Upon arrival, we have met and transfer to the hotel.
Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day2. Luang Prabang – Long Lao – Trek to Kuangsi Fall (B)

After breakfast, we drive Ban Long Lapo (Hmong Village), Wander around to learn more about life in this rural lowland Lao and Hmong community. The hike leads you first for about half an hour through paddy fields before entering dense mixed growth jungle with a remarkable diversity of tree species. After 3 hours of an up-and-down hike through the forest, you reach Kuang Si Waterfall, where water tumbles over tiered limestone formations into crystal clear pools ideal for escaping the heat. Between cooling off in the pools, you can explore the lush forest setting around the falls. At the famous Kuang Si Waterfall, a short walk brings you down to the abrupt waterfall where you will have time for a swim or simply relaxing by the water’s edge. You will also have a chance to visit Free the Bear Project there before returning back to Luang Prabang.

Day3. Luangprabang – Pak Ou Cave – Nong Khiaw (B) by Boat and Road

After breakfast, we visit Xangkhong a well-known for Saa Paper making and Weaving Village, then take a cruise to Pak Ou Cave by Mekong River, which also gives us a breathtaking view of the tranquil countryside as well time to explore the mysterious Pak Ou Caves, two linked caves crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes left by pilgrims. Along the way, we stop at the village of Ban Xanghai, where they make the local rice wine, after visited the Pak Ou Cave we then take a long drive to Nong Khiaw about 3hours on arrival transfer to the hotel then it’s free time for your leisure.

Day4. Nong Khiaw – Mouang Ngoi – Nong Khiaw (B) by Boat

After breakfast, we take a cruise up the Nam Ou River about 1.5hours to Moung Ngoi where is
Hidden on the banks of the Nam Ou River and bordered by towering limestone peaks, rice paddies and traditional villages, is the beautiful town of Muang Ngoi, a secluded riverside escape.
One of the hidden gems of Northern Laos, Muang Ngoi lets travellers experience the beauty and serenity of riverside life without sacrificing too many home comforts. Surrounded by stunning nature and full of things to do, Muang Ngoi is a fantastic addition to any Laos backpacking itinerary. We then trek to the Tham Kang, where according to local legend, a Naga resides to the rear. We then continue through rice paddy fields onto the Lao Loum village of Ban Na, which is only accessible by foot, so retains much of its original character. After lunch, we continue to walk to Ban Houaysene or Ban Houay Bor then return back to Mouang Ngoi and take a cruise back to Nong Khiaw.

Day5. Nong Khiaw – Oudomxay – Namkat Yorlapa (B)

After breakfast, we hike up the mountain of Pha Somnang View Point from there you will see around Nong Khiaw City Tour then we drive to Oudomxay Province about 4hours on arrival transfer to Namkat Yorlapa Resort and it’s free time for your leisure.

Day6. Namkat Yorlapa – Trek to Mouang La – Oudomxay (B/L)

After breakfast, we drive to Mouang La, a fun and traditional excursion – “Of Rice and Men” lets you try growing rice with the Khamu farmers. A picnic lunch in a “sala” amidst the unspoilt countryside, prepared by our cook. At the end of the day, your return to our Lodge crossing the Nam Pak River on a bamboo raft, via the village of Vieng Kham. The village is well known for the production of sarongs and other silk products then drive back to Namkat Yorlapa. More information.

Day7. Oudomxay – Vang Vieng (B) by Train

After breakfast, then it’s free time till take a train to Vang Vieng on arrival transfer to the hotel. after a short rest we take a long trail boat along the Nam Song River and evening time strolling around Vang Vieng City.

Day8. Vang Vieng – Caves – Kayaking – Blue Lagoon (B)

After breakfast, we will have the good chance to visit “THAMNANGFA” the Angle cave which will present you the very beautiful limestone cave inside with some stories and alike shapes of believed hidden lives. We do Kayaking along the Nam Song River then will sail down on the river to visit “Tham Jang” another well-known beautiful limestone cave and spend the time for relax at Blue Lagoon.

Day9. Vang Vieng – Vientiane City Tour (B)

After breakfast, we drive to Vientiane about 1.5 hours on arrival we visit visit the oldest, Wat Sisaket, a temple of thousands of miniature Buddha statues, and the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo, which previously housed the famous Emerald Buddha Image. We also visit Lao national icon, That Luang Stupa, and we stop to take some pictures of the imposing Patuxay Monument, which is Vientiane’s own Arc de Triumph.

Day10. Vientiane – Pakse – Bolaven Plateau (B) by Flight

Pick up from hotel or airport in Pakse and drive to the cool highlands of the Bolaven Plateau, famous for waterfalls, coffee and ethnic villages.
Visit: Tad Fan Waterfall – dramatic twin falls in lush jungle Coffee plantation – learn about Lao coffee production & tasting Tad Yeung Waterfall – walk to the base and enjoy the scenery.
Overnight in Champasak at The River Resort.

Day11. Bolaven Plateau – Champasak – Si Phan Don (4,000 Islands) (B)

Morning Visit: Wat Phu – UNESCO pre-Angkorian temple with mountain views Continue drive to Nakasang pier and boat to Si Phan Don (4000 Islands). Check in hotel on Don Det or Don Khone.
Free time to relax by the Mekong sunset.
Overnight on 4000 Islands.

Day12. Khong Island – Surrounding (B) by Boat

Full day exploring the peaceful Mekong islands.
Visit: Khone Phapheng Waterfall – the “Niagara of Asia”Old French railway & colonial bridge on Don Khone Li Phi Waterfall – beautiful cascades near Cambodia border.
Optional: cycling around islands or boat trip to spot rare Irrawaddy dolphins (seasonal).
Overnight on 4000 Islands.

Day13. Khong Island - Pakse – Flight to Vientiane (B)

Morning at leisure.
Boat back to mainland and transfer to Pakse Airport for flight to Vientiane.
Overnight in Vientiane.

Day14. Vientiane – Departure (B)

After breakfast, then it’s free time till transfer to the airport.
