Discover the main highlights of the 3 major areas of Laos, with Luang Prabang, Vang Vieng and Vientiane.

Day1. Arrival – Luang Prabang

Upon arrival at the airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Luang Prabang is perhaps the best-preserved traditional city in South-east Asia. The tranquillity and charm of this town with its splendid natural scenery and cultural sights make it one of the most delightful places to visit in Laos. Today is free at your leisure to explore the city.

Day2. Luang Prabang – City Tour (B)

After breakfast, we enjoy a short-guided tour seeing the city’s oldest temple of Wat Sene and the magnificent Wat Xiengthong with its roofs sweeping low to the ground, which represents classical Laotian architecture. Today, we also visit the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrines of Wat Mai. We then climb up to the top of Mount Phousi for an enjoyable exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa as well as a panoramic view of the city at sunset and the Mekong River. From there, we explore the Night Market, where you can find a lovely selection of handmade textiles made by local and hilltribe people surrounding Luang Prabang.

Day3. Luang Prabang – Pak Ou Cave (B)

After breakfast, we visit Xangkhong Village a well-known for Saa Paper making and Weaving Village then take a cruise up to Mekong which also gives us a breathtaking view of the tranquil countryside as well time to explore the mysterious Pak Ou Caves, two linked caves crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes left by pilgrims. Along the way, we stop at the village of Ban Xanghai, where they make the local rice wine, after visited the Pak Ou Cave but Pha An Stone Cliff don’t be missed. We then take a boat down to Luang Prabang City by sunset time.

Day4. Luangprabang – Kuangsi Fall – Vientiane (B) by Train

An optional early start gives you the fantastic opportunity to participate in the daily morning rituals of saffron-clad monks collecting offerings of Alms (often in the form of sticky rice) from the faithful residents. This tradition is very unique in Laos, being the only Buddhist nation still preserving the ritual.

After breakfast we visit to the Royal Palace Museum, which hosts a range of interesting artifacts then drive to Kuangsi Waterfall and Bear rescue centre, where you can cool off with a refreshing swim in the pools or walk along the forest trails return to the city by afternoon then it’s free time till transfer to train station to Vientiane on arrival we transfer to the hotel.

Day5. Vientiane City Tour (B)

After breakfast, we will visit the oldest, Wat Sisaket, a temple of thousands of miniature Buddha statues, and the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo, which previously housed the famous Emerald Buddha Image. We visit Talad Sao (Morning Market) where you can find the souvenirs for your friend and family, also visit Lao national icon, That Luang Stupa, and we stop to take some pictures of the imposing Patuxay Monument, which is Vientiane’s own Arc de Triumph.

Day6. Vientiane – Vang Vieng – Cave – Kayaking – Blue Lagoon – Vientiane (B) by Road

After breakfast, we drive to Vang Vieng about 1.5 hours on arrival we visit “THAMNANGFA” the Angle cave which will present you the very beautiful limestone cave inside with some stories and alike shapes of believed hidden lives. We then do Kayaking along the Nam Song River where you will see nice landscape and sail down on the river to visit “Tham Jang” another well-known beautiful limestone cave. Then spend the time for relax at Blue Lagoon and evening time strolling around Vang Vieng City. Overnight in Vang Vieng

Day7. Vientiane – Shopping Center – Buddha Park – Night Market (B)

After breakfast, we will visit Shopping Center at Parkson Building, where you can find and buy souvenir for your friends and family, then we drive to Vientiane on the way we will visit Buddha Park is a famous sculpture park with more than 200 religious statues, including a huge 40-metre high reclining Buddha image. The best spot for photography here is on top of the giant pumpkin structure, which stands about three stories high. The entrance is crafted to look like a demon’s mouth (about three metres high) with a stone ladder inside leading to a bird’s eye view of the entire Xieng Kuan Park.

Buddha Park was built in 1958 by Luang Pu Bunleua Sulilat, a monk who studied both Buddhism and Hinduism. This explains why his park is full not only of Buddha images but also of Hindu gods as well as demons and animals from both beliefs. The most outstanding ones include Indra, the king of Hindu gods riding the three-headed elephant (aka Erawan and Airavata), a four-armed deity sitting on a horse and an artistic deity with 12 faces and many hands, each holding interesting objects. They are all equally impressive not only because of their enormous size but because they are full of interesting details and interesting motifs and evening time walking along the Mekong at night market.

Day8. Vientiane – Departure (B)

After breakfast, then it’s free time till transfer to the airport.
